Videos and Books:
Videos and books may be viewed at our facility. In vitro Insights Module I and II are excellent instructional videos that cover basic cell culture skills (sterile technique, feeding, subculturing/passaging, etc.). "Safe Use of Biological Safety Cabinets" is also an excellent instructional video which demonstrates the proper use of a biosafety cabinet with regard to cell culture. Available in text and CD-Rom is Ian Freshney’s Culture of Animal Cells- A Manual of Basic Technique, 3rd Ed.
Individual Consultation and Cleaning:
The Cell Center personnel will assist with cell culture issues such as contamination, slow-growing cell lines, techniques, lab design and lab maintenance. The Cell Center will also clean your biosafety cabinets. Appointments are necessary.
